Eight Three Bakery

I'm Shakira, a follower of Jesus Christ, wife, and stay at home mom! I will gladly admit that I N E V E R saw myself opening a cottage bakery. But as He has shown time and time again,

"delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart."

Psalms 37:4

When God placed a stone mill in the hands of my family so that we could make our own bread, I initially thought it was a blessing for us. But blessings are never meant just for us, are they?

I prayed to Him, giving thanks for the knowledge of how to make our own [freshly milled] bread at home and how much I wanted for others to be able to eat and enjoy bread the way He intended! -- With all the nutrients in the natural grains that He gave us.

Little did I know that He would answer that prayer by calling me to open up a cottage bakery!

Each baked good is made completely from scratch, in my home. I love serving my family these goods and am so happy that you can enjoy them too!

I am so grateful to God for all that He has done and continues to do. He is the foundation and purpose of Eight Three Bakery.

He alone is our true source of life. Not only has He given us the natural foods that we need to thrive physically, but He has given us His Word so that we may thrive spiritually.

People do not live by bread alone, rather we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
